Koror, Palau – On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Mr. Alfred Ikesakes was arrested on a criminal Contempt of Court charge when he refused to accept a court-issued summons to attend an upcoming trial in the Palau Supreme Court, Trial Division.
Mr. Ikesakes was released on a $100 cash bond with an order to return for all court appearances and possible trial on the Contempt of Court charge. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 1, 2021, at 2 p.m. before Associate Justice Honora E. Remengesau Rudimch for a plea or trial setting conference.
G. Midth Bells, Assistant Special Prosecutor for the Republic of Palau, appeared on behalf of the Republic and will assist the Special Prosecutor April Dawn Cripps in the prosecution of this case.
