KOROR, PALAU – The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for the Republic of Palau welcomes Inia Rakaria Tikomaimaleya, a native Fijian, to our team as our new Assistant Special Prosecutor, and we are thrilled to have him join us! He is a lawyer by profession of more than eight years in the Republic of the Fiji Islands.
Mr. Tikomaimaleya brings a diverse legal background to us including practice in criminal law, family law, commercial law, contracts, and probate, and worked in both the governmental and private sectors in Fiji.
Following receipt of his Legal Studies Diploma from the University of Fiji in 2014 and admission as a Barrister and Solicitor to the High Court of Fiji in July 2014, Mr. Tikomaimaleya earned a post-graduate certificate in International Relation Affairs from the University of Fiji in 2019.
His legal postings included working as a Law Clerk, Legal Intern, Legal Officer/Officer In Charge for the Legal Aid Commission, Legal Associate, In-House Legal Officer/Prosecutor for the Nausori Town Council, and Legal Officer/State Counsel/Prosecutor/Officer in Charge for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in the Savusavu Office, Fiji.
Mr. Tikomaimaleya’s pleasant, easy-going personality and expertise will round out our team and be of great benefit in the continued service of the OSP to the people of the Republic of Palau. Please join us in welcoming him to Palau.
